Nowadays energy saving is one of the most important directions in the developing economics. The energy efficiency problems have particularly severe effect on Ukrainian economics because GDP in Ukraine is several times more energy-intensive than in European countries.

Works on energy audit of main technological processes at industrial enterprises and units of municipal economy are being carried out. These works include energy audit of boiler-houses, heat networks, technological processes and equipment at heat and power plants, water supply and drain systems. Preliminary design investigations of hydraulic and power regimes as well as investigations of technological characteristics of cold water supply and drain systems are being carried out in the Institute.

The scientific and technical potential of the Institute and the experience of the partner organizations specializing in energy engineering, industrial electronics, automation and information technologies is the basis for the successful work of the Institute and the guaranty of high quality of the proposed solutions. The Institute’s personnel consist of highly qualified specialists with rich experience in doing research, design and construction works in various fields of energy engineering.

The Institute uses specialized equipment and devices for doing diagnostics of energy plants and examining energy systems. The scientists and designers will provide optimal solutions for energy resource saving to the customer and adapt the energy efficient technologies available in world’s practice to the customer needs. All this will secure stable and determinable functioning of energy plants in energy saving regimes. The Institute cooperates with specialized organizations that have a considerable manufacturing base and highly skilled workers for manufacturing, installation, maintenance service and modernization of energy saving equipment. These organizations execute the technical solutions at the customer plants.

• diagnostics of energy plants and examination of energy systems as well as energy audit of municipal economy units and production enterprises;

• technical calculations for water supply and heat supply networks and systems;
